After School Nanny - Part Time
After-School Nanny – $16.00/HR (With eligibility for raises in the future!)
Location: 78209 – San Antonio, TX
We are looking for a caring and confident after-school nanny to support a wonderful family with two school-aged children in the 78209 area! The ideal candidate will be kind and proactive with a firm but loving presence. The nanny will assist with the after-school routine, provide light household support, and help both children transition smoothly from school to home life.
Jack (age 9) is athletic and introverted. Sawyer (age 5) is funny, independent, and outgoing. A typical afternoon will include providing snacks, supporting homework (3rd grade math and kindergarten-level reading), helping manage sibling dynamics, and driving to occasional activities (a family car is available for use).
The role includes light tidying around the home, including the kitchen and kids’ rooms, help with laundry, and loading/unloading the dishwasher. A successful candidate will bring a warm presence, strong boundaries, and an ability to guide with kindness and respect.
Schedule:
Monday–Friday, 2:30 PM – 5:30 PM
Start Date: August 13th
Commitment: Ongoing through School Year
Responsibilities:
Support afternoon routine for two children (ages 9 and 5)
Light household support (laundry, tidying, dishwasher)
Provide snack, assist with 3rd grade math and kinder-level reading
Occasional driving to sports or activities (family car available)
Create a positive, structured environment and manage sibling dynamics
Qualifications:
To be eligible for this position, applicants must meet the following:
High school diploma or equivalent (G.E.D.) required prior to hire
At least one year of childcare experience, including in-home or nanny experience (paid experience preferred)
Experience with school-aged children
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation (Driving not required but helpful)
Ability to pass a background check (Provided and required)
Three childcare references (Ready upon request)
